Vacation to the Lion City!

At this age, going off vacation with family is one think we should all look forward to. Bear in mind that this package includes the nagging and interrogation from our parents or the annoying siblings! Hey, this is what family is all about! The greatest thing you will find travelling with them is that you don’t need to figure out what to do next, just follow “the guide” I would say to my bro and sis. The next best thing is that your expenses are all paid for!! (Of cause there will be a limit!)
Anyway, this time around me and my family took a family vacation to the City of Lions, Singapore! My uncle and family from Johor join in as our guide! We entered the island via bus at the Malaysia Singapore 2nd link! This link to Tunas on the island. Here is the map of it!

On the Bus

Anyway, after the check points on the border by the two nations, we are officially in Singapore. The first impression getting down from the bus was WOW! As an island, I still find empty land with well maintain things we call grass! Knowing it’s a small nation but yet you could find the well mix of man made structure and the things of nature! You can’t find this in Kuala Lumpur. There is land but it is ether abandon of with lalang!
After a fast lunch, we head to the Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC). This place is dedicated to the Singapore people as all the content in it shows the life of the Singaporeans. There is even a recording on the sounds and speeches of modern day Singapore! It’s a small hold to see what is life in Singapore for the Singaporeans from a small shop owner to a cooperate tycoon; all is well depicted here in SDC. As we are living in the present, the SDC also is a place to showcase the future Singapore.

Listening to the voice of Singapore

The dome shape in the complex, futuristic design

Playing with motion sensor (can you find this in Malaysia? not even M'sia Science Centre)

Voices of the Singaporeans!

Listening to Little George

Bro got to play with the Singapore army self design rifle, the SAR-21

Section to show the futuristic Singapore

This is a place where it grow the seed of patriotism for its people. Something to be proud of! I wish it this was Malaysia. Really my eye was watery and I wanted to cry and say “what can I do for my country?” “Why the existing Malaysia land mark can’t be maintained well?”

Anyway I enjoy the morning trip. The second part will be the Singapore Science Centre.

Life Game 2008

Finally I’ve time to update this entry after left off on the two previous camps that I’ve attend! Surly it is power draining but its all worth it!
Life Game, this is the 2nd time the 8th Company Penang Boys Brigade and the USM KKJ CF hosted the game in USM KKJ. It was not as big as the first time around when we hosted last year. But it is sufficient as we had experience from last year.

I’m here as a volunteer, and it is a different view of everything. If God wants t speak to His people, he can do it “As long as we are willing to learn and to heard”. I still remember the time I was came to this camp as a participant. I still remember I cried and the image was so vivid! It serves as a reminder!

Serving in this camp also helped me to establish new networks out of existing contacts. It was nice knowing new people and working with them! Thanks to God as this is an eye opener!

Others have choose to take this holiday time to experience God's beauty, but I've no regret doing what I've done as i believe that He is good!! Amen!!

*Thank little potato for the supports!!
