All authority, every victory is Yours

We are for you..

It is has been a crazy holiday. A holiday without real physical rest but it has been a really fruitful experience. Tired? Sure I’m but with Christ I can do all things.

As today is day zero of the Life Game volunteer, I was reminded with this:

“We are here for them (campers) and not for ourselves”

These words struck me as it serves as a reminder as well as a warning to me to serve and be use by God.

Lord, I’m ready to learn. Teach me and let your spirit fall on me. May I be the one that You use in Your plans. To bless others even when others don’t see. Thank you God!

Camp after camp!!

A week has pass since my last update. It is very adventurous journey the two week it has been. I went to a missionary camp which is conducted fully in mandarin! For me it will surely been a huge challenge to listen and to pick up. The camp comprises mostly sharing by missionary about their mission field work experience. How they got into missionary works and how god has helped them to conquer and to overcome uneasiness.

In this camp, it also helps me to redefine the whole idea of the word “extreme”. This missionary gave up their life for God and put others behind even if it is their family. “To honour our parents” and at the same time “putting Jesus first in everything” how can I find a common ground for this? It was a blessing for me to get this exposure to missionary works in this camp. It gave me a conformation that urgency to spread the Good News to others. As we work at day, when night comes all work shell stop.

Oops.. Did I say, the camp had close to 1000 campers while another 50 or so could not make it due to some implications? The cost for this camp is RM 300,000 without airline expenses of the missionary to be in this camp while we campers pay RM180!

After mission camp, me and Ann Nee went back up to Penang to attend another camp. Ann Nee’s church’s children camp. It was a shock to me as it has been awhile I’m been around with kids of young ages. I was designated as a helper in the camp to assist teacher Ann Nee. Our group’s name is Group Samuel. To another surprise, this camp is completely conducted in mandarin. Thus, this is a complete new experience as I’m a new person in this place.

The people I know are less than a hand full! It’s a scary experience, but Ann Nee did a great job and she helped me to know new people. At the end of the camp, I felt that this are people who are very good to work with and each has contribute to the camp thus covering up each other each of us fall short!

Kids just love water!

Back to the topic, though it might be a children camp. It has spoke to me in a way as a grown up! Surely, His word cuts through hearts and minds! By the way, the theme for this camp is Super Hero!! Hahah… This children camp only cost RM50. For city dwellers it may be a small amount but for those people who can’t effort it, with RM50 it is a week living for their family and their children. Even the camp fees at such a low price, but the food is out standing and the trip to Taiping Zoo, a t-shirt and a bag, it’s just don’t make sense but God made it come through.

Oh another thing, I enjoy eating the left over by the children after each meal!! Wawaawawa...
