God's weekend Gift for me

This week is rather full of ups and downs for me as I have encountered some problem in my relationship with God. Really, from my experiences once you are not right with God, problems start to come in. one of the problem is that I can’t pray well… for those who is following the 40 days fast and prayer for Malaysia as she is near to her independent day would notice that some time I pray with no direction. Other than that, my whole day will be very cloudy (if you know what I mean)… But as the end of the week approaching, I felt the grace of God was there for me!! Glory to Him, I’m still valuable to Him… If not I would have gone to dust for a long time liau….

Well the week end for me was kind of packed…. Here we go again!!

On Thursday,

Thanks God it did not rain (as it was raining for 2 Thursday morning) on the morning, which enable us to carry out our Geometic lab work. Well it was fun in the beginning as this is our first onsite surveying with the real instrument in hand. As the sun slowly climb up to the top of our head, we soon feel the hotness of the sun!! That is why there are few girls go for Civil Engineering (man.. should have applied for material where there are plenty of girls, may be can tackle some of them…. Wawawaawawa..)

Me With The Leveling Instrument

Sze-Lyn & Me with the Stuff meater

On Friday night,

I & Kok Mun went to the Chinese Methodist Church USM Student Fellowship. Being literate in reading Chinese word is not a good thing!! Well when come to worship, I can only follow the people around me sing as I don’t know how to read the lyric. Wawawawawa….

The theme for the night was, Home (that is what I think)…. It really got me thinking of home again. The relationship with our brothers and sisters and even our parents back at home. In CF we might be too focus on our studies and our friends around us, but not home. We then break into small groups of 4 to 5, and talk on the subject that is HOME and nothing else….

Come to think of it, being the only Christian at home is not such a bad thing as one will learn to reason and persevere. Remember we are here by no chance but by His grace. This people would have a deeper root of believing in Jesus as one will ask, “is believing in Jesus worth it when my mother dislike me” or may be “is it worth it to believe in Jesus, when my father hit me for not going to the temple to offer prayers”. This is some of the questions that believers coming from Christian families would not ask thus being shallow in the perseverance and the word of God (people like me).

On Saturday,

Our cell group went for an outing to Penang Island for the Pekom PC Fair and to buy some gift for the seniors who is going to graduate in 2weeks time… We started off from our campus around 10am after picking Chee Koon from his house. My friend Choo Hong hop into the van to catch a ride ending up buying stuff total up to RM1500 plus at the end of the day!!

As for the ride to Penang Island was really dangerous as the driver was Kok Mun who press the accelerator to the max (not Max Ting)!! Anyhow, with the grace of God we reach PESA in no time with the guidance of Jinny (and of cause with Kok Mun “F1 Driving” Skill). After parking the van in PESA which cost us Rm2, we went into the fair.

Well like any other PC Fair, the place was jam pack with people as the Chinese saying goespeople mountain, people sea”. The place is 4 time smaller that of KL’s PC Fair if compared. The HOT item was the 1GB thumb drive which every one was buying because it cost just only RM73 (which is the lowest) compare to the last PC Fair was the 512MB thumb drive which cost RM63. other than that was the DVD Writer which cost only RM135.

Other than the produce that were sold, we meet a number of friends from USM main campus and our very own Eng. Campus. We stop to say our grettings and for sure pop the obvious question “WHY DID YOU COME HERE? (da…. Its PC Fair la… of cause buy computer stuff la) or “WHAT DID YOU BUY?” We can’t get to talk much as the place was full of pushing and noise.

The Things (very Proud things) that I got from PC Fair & the trip to Penang Island

After that, with our proud items that we bought from the fair (it may be just a pan drive but the proud part is YOU don’t have it!!) and stuff it all into the van. We then make our way to Perangi Mall to buy gift for our seniors (Of cause we though of buying pen drive from the fair each for every senior but no budget). By the time we reach there around 4:30pm plus. We meet up with Yen Wai.

Well Chee Koon & Jinny was doing the shopping for our fellow seniors, me, Kok Mun, Derrick, Yen Wai & Choo Hong tag along. With our pocket burn out because buying our stuff at PC Fair, we can only see, touch, feel and if lucky whishing we could buy the items there!! I saw the weigh with fortune machine that is hard to come by now days in shopping complex as it is replace by digital ones.

How can one go Penang and not enjoy its road site food stalls?!?! After finishing shopping, we then head to the “Sunway Lorong” (that is what all Penangnite call it) which got its name from the hotel which situated nearby. Eating beside the buzzing road with the windy night blowing its wind on the place brought a new meaning to it!! Well I ate curry mee which can’t taste as good as the porridge with pig’s spare parts…

"Lorong Sunway"

Look at that!! Yammy....

Very happy faces (I think so) after A good Meal

Well we went back with our stomach filled. Thanks God we made it back to campus and our respected homes around 9:30pm safe and sound.
