Back to SWEEP.
2weeks has pass, so it goes and the end of SWEEP 2007. Before all I would like to thank the people who supported me be it in financially or prayerfully. Also want to say thanks to
I was truly bless and thankful for being in this exposure program. I got to see things in a different way by looking thing as a whole by not looking at a narrow opening. I’ve learn that social work is part of a Christian life. Jesus spends most of His time in His ministry ministering to the hopeless, to the disable and so on.
In today’s society we Christians tend to spend too much time in church and neglect those who are in need out there. We focus too much on evangelism (not to say I don’t agree with evangelism) but there must be a balance to every thing we do. A lot of Christian including me can preach very well but can’t act out what they say.
Another thing that I’ve learned is that there are ample of opportunities to involve themselves in helping the society. Not only through NGOs but by just having to get a job in the government sector is a good start. The method to evangelise and witness to people around us is not the matter of carrying the bible in your hands but to also practice and do what it says.
Overall, I’m thankful that I’m in this SWEEP program. Many of us in the program thought that we will bless the community by just being there to help, but it turns out to be the other way. We in return being blessed more than we gave always. Thanks.

Dear Joshua,
really nice to read your colourful blog, esp about sweep 2007. I really love the song you suggested, nice and touching. Guess what, I always remind myself about the promises we have in SWEEP, to always live for people in need. I am planning to take my friends in college to visit Chow Kit again. Ha...Ha... Thanks for your comment in my blog. Appreciate that very much...
Hope to see you again, God bless!!!
All the best.
