Dictionary:
Loyal = showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution.

So, here's a cheap example: if somehow u turned into a bad guy, do u want ur fren to follow u?

Also, loyal frens usually wont show their true feelings, because they want to agree with u. So, by keeping it to themselves, it will later hurt both u and them when the climax is reached.
