Today as I was walking back with Lee after our work, we saw Derrick!! Yes we saw Derrick’s name!! His name was on the billboard!!

Well we are supposed to be back here to do our industrial training. Doing some thing that is related to what we are studying. Well, Derrick is studying the same thing as me; this means he is doing his training that is relevant to civil engineering.

But it turns out now that he is better than us, by doing hair styling. Those who know Derrick (a.k.a. Vincent Tan’s son) wears a cap almost where ever he goes!!

One week has pass by since my first day working in the office as to fulfil my industrial training. A lot have happen since the first day, for getting stuck in the usual morning Kuala Lumpur City traffic (took us 1 hour to travel 20km!!) to falling asleep while doing our reinforce concrete design. All this happen in this week.

The weekends were the days that I was looking forward to as it’s for resting and doing the things that I like and that are meaningful.

One of the “breakthrough” I achive in the first weekemd in KL was that I went to Ikano Power House!! Yeah.. It’s my 1^st ever stepping my foot into the place. I was the first time I got a preview of the shear size of One Utama shopping complex!! So huge, and the superstructure stretch from one end of the expressway to the other. I saw it while we were driving pass it as we made our way form SS2 to Ikano.

Ann Nee, John and Me

Internet.. Yeah!!

Oh ya, Ann Nee, John Ho and me myself was there. Sad for a city dweller such as me who loose to John as this was his second time here!! Cheh~~!! The main purpose of going there was neither to buy any house whole stuff nor to eat in The Curve but to get connected online! Cause John and Ann Nee was disconnected for the pass one week. That is just an intro purpose why we were there, wait till you here what I’ve to say next.

Before were made our way there, we got ourselves nasi lemak form the stall outside where they stayed. Which cost us RM4.50!! we ate the packed of rice outside the Ikea Café. Thank God no one came to halau us away..

Tired day~~

Anyway to cut the story short, we went to Starbucks to surf the internet as they have power pot there for their laptops. While they were getting connected, I wonder to a hardware shop and there I just look and look at the tools and stuff they have to offer there (I’m a but wired, as people reads novel, I enjoy going into this hardware shops :P). I wonder in the wonderland for 30-45min can’t really recall.. I got myself a S-video Converter and a AV-Cable.

I went back to join them after that and 3of us enjoyed the day even it was tiring.. oh ya, we saw Simon sign in to his MSN and chat a while…

Now is lunch time, since today is prayer day (Friday) so we get to rest longer before they come back from their morning prayer.. Anyway, I’m currently doing my internship at GJ Runding S/B. it’s located some where near the popular Ampang Point!

The 1st week is coming to an end. A lot of questions arise as I go through this “pre working life” it’s like a preview into a working life style. While I’m studying, I was looking forward to a working life, where money was the factor. But after this one week, I have a different perspective of working life.

The mundane routine of day in day out 5 days a week that is some thing to think about! The things that I’m studying now are to prepare me to become a future civil engineer. So want to waste this and go for some other field? I don’t know.. Hahaha…

Working life has its challenges. I was reminded by little angel that “do our best in what ever situation we are placed in, to perform well as this (industrial training) is a process”, as I read her message, I was reminded of my own advice, “what dose not kill us, makes us stronger”.

I thank God for this chance of leaning as experience can not be bought by silver or gold but is a gift from God. And all this experience is a preparation for something better in a later in life! And all He done is for the good of the people who love them!

Ah Lee working... (looser~~)

Tomorrow will be my first day of my industrial training.. Very nervous oh… oh ya.. The place where I’ll be staying, don’t have internet. So I’ll try my best update my blog as often as I can. :P

What are the challenging thing I encounter this semester? Well it is of cause, having a car. One will find people around you asking favour and help. It’s not wrong asking for help nor is it wrong to help others, because we are suppose to bless others with the blessings that we been blessed with. What is the greatest commandment of them all? Love the God thy God with all that you are, and love others as yourself.

But it will become a problem when people around you start expecting from you as a car owner. In other words, it’s hard to be a nice person, a person who helps. Cause people will expect highly on oneself. By saying “NO” will be hard and it as if you have a “gold in your mouth”. Of cause saying “no” with the write reason and not of selfish desire such as, my car will spoil or as such. There is why one needs to discern be it the helper or the helped.

I do admit I’m frustrated as people not helping me at time, but hay is it my pride which is taking over? Did I think of the person who refuses to help me? And must he give me a good reason to say no? is it my right to ask him to help me?

This is what I’ve learn today

As I told my brother on MSN, “Learning to blame is not learning”, but getting up and walk on with God’s provision and asking Him to open up our narrow mind is learning.

But of cause God has his way in this moment of life by not escaping from it but to face it. And I thank God for this experience as experience cannot be bought with gold or silver. Not to fill my heart with bitterness, hate or judgement but to know myself more and rely on his words to change and better me.

Teach me Lord.

Lets not stop the blessing God has blessed us.

Today, two monkeys from main campus just happen to jump into the campus that I’m in… drum roll…. The two monkeys are…. Drum roll louder….. Twinny Li Yee and her monkey who drives an orange Proton Saga Sue Min!!! (Crowds clap so loud!!)

Why two monkeys u may ask? Because they were visiting Sue Min’s uncle here in Parid Buntar and out of no where, the got an inspiration to come into engineering campus to take picture with the airplanes in our aeronautical engineering school! They were so gila about the plans there till the stage there were so eager to step them self in to pose with it!! Bare in mind that these planes cannot fly… so…

Anyway, this can consider to be my very first photo shoot till I didn’t realise that by the time I got back to my room, it was 630pm.

In this entry, I’ll round up what has been happening in the month of March 2008. I notice I just manage to write only 10 entries for my blog! I was busy then with all sorts of items and events. In that month along I thing the CF committee have meet up here and there as to arrange who will be the next committee member.

In that month alone, there are 4 design projects to be summated. So those who studying the same course in USM KKJ should know what I mean. Nevertheless, out of these tight schedules I manage to pull out some fun time for myself with the friends around me.

Went to Megamall do a public transport survey for our subject EAL 335/3 Highway and Traffic Engineering. Took a bus from Megamall to Jetty and then back. A very wild experience.

Was Zhin Hui’s birthday. On this day the birthday girl got to eat home cook Spaghetti and stuff which was prepare at Sui Ying’s house. After the feast, and some talking, we then made our way to QB Mall to get ourselves 31st Basket Robbins ice-cream!
