King Solomon did what his father King David can’t that is to build the Temple of the Lord. In his father’s time a man after God’s own heart, King David was unable to build this temple as war was going on among the nation with the nation of Israel but David made a promise that he will build the Lord’s temple among His people when there is time of peace.
King Solomon, his successor cached the vision that the father had. God fulfil his promises of bringing peace to the land and with the wisdom that God had entrusted King Solomon, he build the temple of the Lord among the People of the land. With all the wisdom that God has enabled King Solomon, he is able to be the best engineer of the time with ground breaking design and out of it’s kind.
After the completion of the temple, King Solomon commits it to god
11 Then the Lord gave this message to Solomon: 12 “Concerning this Temple you are building, if you keep all my decrees and regulations and obey all my commands, I will fulfil through you the promise I made to your father, David. 13 I will live among the Israelites and will never abandon my people Israel.”
